Like many others across the country and around the world, I've spent a lot of the last two days watching television.
The situation in Christchurch still seems surreal.
I am grateful that my brother and his family are okay, although he was working in Sydney when the quake struck, and yesterday was frantically trying to get home to his wife and little boys in Rolleston.
I was relieved to hear The Winemaker's wife had left Christchurch and headed home immediately after disaster struck.
I am struggling to watch images of the CTV building, a place I had spent time in and envied while working in Southland regional television. I hear that body bags are now being taken onto this site.
My thoughts are with all my other family members, friends and old workmates who are coping with this hellish situation.
At a time like this, what can you say?
