We used to live in Gibbston Valley - the Valley of Vines - Central Otago New Zealand. Now Abu the Rooster's Light Sussex Ladies have made the move to Bannockburn - the Heart of the Desert. This is the tale of a total amateur having a go at the farming lifestyle, with kune kune pigs, sheep, and a fascinating family of chooks. Our location may have shifted, but Pinot Noir still surrounds us.

COMING SOON: Noodle Knits
Today's mission is to create a new page for my blog - featuring all of the doggy knitwear I've been selling on Trade Me or making for friends (and for Noodle too of course). Some of the garments needed to be rephotographed and Mouse the Maine Coon was keen to help. What you can't tell from the image above is that he's sitting on top of a jersey that'd comfortably fit a fairly large dog - Mouse weighs around 7kgs, and he's not overweight!
I'm a total amateur at this stuff, so I'd appreciate any feedback about how long the page takes to load, photo quality etc.
Speaking of feedback, it'd be really cool to know who is visiting my blog. In the last week alone I've had visitors from NZ, USA, Singapore, Germany, Denmark, Romania, Australia, Brazil, India & Malaysia. "Hello" to everyone, I'd love to hear from you.
What I've learnt today;
1. The guy who poisons rabbits here around the property The Boss and I live on is REALLY keen to trade me wild pork for eggs - I'd better give my chooks a pep talk and ask them to get laying!
2. I'll come back to this one once I've finished my new blog page.....
